The exhibit was open during a company party. While we had been to Abbotts Square, we had never ventured in to the MAH. So thankful we did. The Voices of Santa Cruz County Foster Youth was impressive. You felt like you were talking to each...More

We were invited to the MAH to see the exhibit: Lost Childhoods: Voices of Santa Cruz County Foster Youth and the Foster Youth Museum: July 7 2017 – December 31 2017. It was very moving. Foster youth are often forgotten and they feel ignored at...More

I've wanted to visit this museum for a long time, & my first reaction was that it's much smaller than anticipated. Not a criticism, but I was surprised. The $10 fee is reasonable & we enjoyed our stay of about one-&-a-half hours. The exhibit spotlighting...More

Disappointing and depressing exhibits about the treatment of Native Americans and the plight of children who go through the foster care system. Interesting and informative, but not enjoyable.

Love the third floor with the indigenous people and history of Santa Cruz. Becoming interactive and participatory. Think it was only $10.

This is a place that encapsulates the city perfectly -- it's definitely different, but in a good way. History gallery is not a parade of old white guys (and it's an interesting place), art exhibits are off beat, sometimes a little shocking, but always very...More

This is a small museum that presents changing displays that outline the history of the Santa Cruz city and surrounding areas. It includes displays on logging, tanning, Chinese and Mexican laborers and historical figures for which many places retain their names.

Update. The history exhibit is closed until September for setting a new exhibit. Check out the website for music and other fun events sponsored by the MAH.
