It costs $5 per person for the 5 Points which are necessary to ride the sky line aka cable car, it's not much of an excitement ride but more of a way to cross from one end of the boardwalk to the other. The rest of the rides require Points so it is expensive if you just want to go... More

We don't have kids, so our perspective is a bit off of those that do. It's got lots of choices for rides, amusements, skill games and lots of typical amusement park type junk food. For me the attraction on a sunny Saturday afternoon is more than enough different people to watch doing their thing.

Santa Cruz is a bit of a time warp: old hippies, surfers, boaters, and more. The boardwalk brings you back to the 60s. It's fun and easygoing.

The beach was nice. Even though we were there at off season the boardwalk was nice. Got to see a lot and it was a nice clean place.

Went for the two day clam chowder competition. The amateur day, Saturday, was great. Lots of competitors offering options to savor. The professional day, Sunday was not so great. There were less competitors which made lines at every competitor and the lines were so long that we couldn't even use the tickets we bought to taste because the booths ran... More

This was a really great day trip. We got there at around 10am on a Sunday and we walked from one end to the other while the shops and rides were still opening and warming up. There wasn't much of a crowd yet so it's a best time to take pictures. We bought the all ride pass for about 35$.... More

We came here after a morning and early afternoon spent at nearby Roaring camp railroads. This trip it was a bit too cold for beach swimming, so we just stayed on the boardwalk. We had two distinct age groups of kids and both had fun. The first was a toddler and the second was teenagers. We sent the teenagers off... More

Spent the day just cruising the boardwalk, hung out on the pier did some shopping. I was here on a weekend and the rides all had really long lines but it was cool to just hang out there til sundown.
