I would suggest anybody not to become a member at Burke Williams the worst experience I've ever had in my life. General manager provoke an argument asked me to step outside pushes my me and then slammed the door on my fingers. I would recommend someone else to go to a different spa place is a complete nightmare. Had to... More

For years BW has been thought of as the gold standard. Now, I think it is just the high priced standard. My time there wasn't comfortable, relaxing, or peaceful. It wasn't horrible. I just feel when you pay those kind of prices, I should leave feeling like a piece of pasta cooked beyond al dente. I should feel so pampered... More

I go to a spa to relax, and I've been enjoying Burke Williams in Santa Monica for many years, even though their prices have skyrocketed. Because 2015 was a stressful year for me, my thoughtful husband bought me a Day at the Spa package as a Christmas gift. I called and scheduled 3 treatments and turned the $400 certificate into... To begin with - the SPA facilities of this place used to be better even half a year ago. First thing that I didn't like when came back here is that they put a lock on the hot sauna temperature adjustor and you can't make it any hotter. I don't say about "colder", cause this is sauna and it should... More

Love this spa but the prices are getting to high. I can go to the four seasons spa for the same price and use the beautiful pool all day.

My girlfriend and I take a trip to Burke Williams Spa around once every three months or more when necessary! It's close to home and the professionalism is top notch. I usually wait for their specials to come out and this time we got a 50 minute massage for $89.00. They offer all types of memberships, but we just stick... More

I went to the Santa Monica location and was really looking forward to a nice relaxing Massage. I had just had a fabulous one visiting friends in Kansas and thought I'd get one here when I returned. Sorry to say this was the worst massage I've ever had. It was first of all not the manI was promised but I... More

I've been going to BW Day Spa for 15 years and have been a member for over 10 years. Although this used to be one of my favorite places, I can say there are some much better spas in LA with comparable prices. I have been to 5 of their various locations and the Santa Monica location used to be... More

When visiting Santa Monica in June, I booked two treatments at Burke Williams Spa - totally worthwhile not only for the massage treatment, but for the bathhouse facilities and environment pre and post massage. Welcoming and professional.

My daughter treated me to spa time here for Valentine's Day. This is in a business building in Santa Monica, not a stand-alone, so you have to know where you're going since it's hard to look for business names when you're driving down a busy street. There are 2 whirlpools, one quiet and one for talking. Unfortunately we got a... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
