"Peanuts" devotees won't be disappointed in the museum that memorializes the work of cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, who made Santa Rosa his adopted hometown.

The museum features an early mural of Charlie Brown and Snoopy, a wood relief sculpture of Snoopy showing the changes in the famed cartoon dog's appearance over the years and Schulz's actual work studio.

We stopped here because we just had about an hour to kill, so we didn't go to the museum, just the Gallery and Gift Shop, but that alone was just enough of a taste for us. It is a huge compound of several buildings. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, Parking is free and easy. The Gallery upstairs from the Gift... More

We thought Santa Rosa was all about the wine, but this museum is a refreshing look at the life of Charles Shultz and all of his Peanuts pals. Our guide was AWESOME and we truly enjoyed our experience. Don't forget to have lunch at the Warm Puppy Cafe.

This is the place especially if you like Snoopy and Peanuts characters! There's a lot to see in the museum. At times there's also special exhibits like cartoon classes and story telling etc. Make sure to leave at least 3-4 hours if you want to slowly go through all the exhibits.

I came with my 8 year old and he wanted to leave after, like, 15 minutes. I was barely able to get him to stay and draw a little "movie" strip and then to see the statues in the courtyard (including some cool holograms). He also got excited to "vote a Peanut character for president". Me - I didn't get... More

I am a Charlie Brown and Snoopy fan. I respect Mr. Schulz. He gave the speech at my high school graduation in 1968. He gave real morals through his characters.

Stopped in here on our way to Calistoga. I'm a big fan. I was surprised to find the famous skating rink still operating and taking up much of the property. The museum itself is thoughtfully presented - I wish it were bigger!

If you grew up in the 1960's and 1970's in the US, you will want to go here. The Museum is a wonderful place to learn more about Charles Schulz, the Peanuts cartoons while revisiting much of his work. There are also interesting exhibits about his personal and professional life. Impressed with several hands on ares for younger children to... More

One word comes to mind - iconic. Charles Schultz lived in Santa Rosa and created most of his comic strips from his office overlooking the ice rink next to the museum. Well, the museum wasn't there at that time. The museum is a fantastic collection of his work. One can't help but smile while looking through a time and place... More

Snoopy's museum, skating arena are both a lot of fun for all ages. The simple drawings that became a household name is not to be missed if in the Santa Rosa area!

This is a wonderful local museum dedicated to Charles "Sparky" Schulz, the creator of the Peanut's gang. It is a tribute to what a wonderful gentleman he was. Try to take one of the short tours, or view the small film. Be sure to not only see the museum, but the gift shop (which is really more than a gift... More
