Urban centers often include city parks and other attractions that, while not as vast and sprawling as a rural park, are nonetheless a pleasant respite from the usual sites of the city. But in the American west, some cities are close enough to natural beauty...More

Part of the park is still closed due to fire damage but it remains my favorite place for trail runs. Right in the middle of Santa Rosa you can find wilderness!

Probably best in Spring, Fall and Winter, but as long as it is not super hot, you can always find a nice hike.

So, where would you find a Lake in the middle of a city, with a swimming lagoon of spring water? The dog friendly park is a special place in today's hectic, wugi wugi world.

The trails are rough as they're covered in rocks that now dominate the area. They need a little TLC but Ca. State Parks don't seem to take the same pride in their parks like Oregon. Still a great place to go but beware of obstacles....More
