What a park. I grew up near Annadel and have always enjoyed the trails, the nature, the oak trees, the wild flowers, the wild animals, the views, no matter the season, no matter with whom. There are joggers, hikers, strollers, mountain bikers, horseback riders - enough to keep everyone active and happy no matter the time of day. There are... More

This park gets a lot of traffic so parking is challenging sometimes but once you get out there walking it doesn't seem crowded at all. There are people both running and walking and everyone is in different shape so it is not intimidating as long as you stay out of the runners' way. The scenery is beautiful. It is really... More

This is a very popular urban park. If you are going to hike/walk come on week day mornings and afternoons. After work and on weekends the trails are owned by mountain bikers. Next to NO mountain bikes at SPRING LAKE, cause most of the paths are paved. Weekend walks better at SPRING LAKE. Waterfalls and running water is very pleasant... More

This is a large hilly expanse just east of Santa Rosa, great for a hike or a trail run. The trails are well marked and navigable, so provided you can remember your route out it doesn't require major logistics to immerse yourself in California hill country. It's close to the 101 so can be a good diversion for a day... More

What a beautiful park. I have hiked this park many times and each time I admire the natural beauty. Hike to the lake for a beautiful site and even bring a picnic lunch (although you will have to carry it).

I started to hike the trail and wasn't sure if I should go to the lake because I didn't plan accordingly with my water situation. Once I got past the flat clearing, a hiker come down and said it's only around the bend. Well it was up the hill and not just around the bend. It was a good hike... More

This large park has miles of walking paths around the reservoir, dog friendly (on leash) and a fantastically wide assortment of people which makes the people watching really fun.

Yesterday my son took me on a hike through Trione-Annadel Park - it was terrific. I definitely enjoy the outdoors and I don't know how I've missed this treasure of a Sonoma County resource. I won't lie - there is some steep elevation changes that will challenge your physical condition but getting to the top is absolutely worth the efforts.... More
