We drove from Santa Rosa to Glen Ellen through the Bennett Valley area. There are nice parks, wineries, and other things to see. Its in a country setting.

This is a very nice area to drive through. Near Santa Rosa but has a nice rural feel. The road is curvy enough to make for a fun drive.

Great way to bypass highway to get from Santa Rosa to Glen Ellen. Of course a quick stop at Matanzas Creek Winery is a plus. Just remember to take the road at a reasonable speed to really enjoy it and stay safe. Pull over and let any crazies pass.

Bennett Valley has some nice wineries, great hiking (try Sonoma Mountain Regional Park). Howarth Park is in Bennett Valley, Kirin Chinese Cusine is a wonderful restaurant as well as East West Cafe, Michelle Marie Bakery has great soups, sandwiches and baked goods, Monty's Restaurant is another really good one. Montgomery Village is a very nice outdoor shopping center, and for... More

Few things rejuvenate the soul as a quiet drive in the country. Few short drives can equal the simple beauty of a drive through Bennett Valley.

Clean, safe, public park, schools, golf course, grocery stores, public transportation throughout, plus wide open areas providing a backroad rural drive toward Sonoma. Good for biking.

Santa Rosa's Bennett Valley, lies to the south and east of town, not on the routes usually taken by visitors to the wine country, but is worth a drive, particularly for those with a little extra time that can be spent en route to Glen Ellen or Sonoma. From downtown Santa Rosa, find your way to Montgomery Drive, turn right... More

Beautiful Bennett Valley is home to Annadel State Park and the park extends all the way to Kenwood. There are miles of gorgeous trails with unlimited vistas, welcoming to both bikers and hikers. Lake Ilsanjo is a nice destination spot or a rest stop if you continue to Buick Meadow or farther on. You can access Annadel from Spring Lake... More

With a city, county and state park (which are all contiguous) withing walking distance, and bus service, a mile from shopping center (with Safeway, restaurants, etc.) you can't beat BV ambiance. Nearby is the city golf course - with an amazing clubhouse (the Legends restaurant) with a view of the 18th hole. Fantastic for Thursday evenings in the summer with... More
