I'll just refer you to all the folks who replied before me. They are sculptures made from a variety of objects that are mostly metal of some type. Some are very colorfully painted. Depending on how old they are, some have natural blistering from the weather. Florence St has the highest concentration .. but the sculptures are found all over Sebastopol. Not sure what you even mean by "continuity".
