We enjoyed a semi-private three course meal with about 6 wines. It was served in a beautiful residence - and the chef’s presentation was stunning

We really enjoyed our tour and tasting at Paul Hobbs. We even met Mr. Hobbs, who was working on another project. We over shot the tasting room and asked a guy, “Where’s Paul Hobbs?” (meaning the winery) He pointed to a guy and said, “Right...More

We visited for a pre-arranged wine tasting and were greeted by Katie. She took us on the tour and explained their winemaking as well as the history of the winery. Beautiful grounds, meticulous attention to detail everywhere including the wine tasting, the grounds and the...More

Paul Hobbs is one of my favorite producers for elegant, well balanced wines that reflect sense of place. His Pinot Noirs are among my favorites. The wines are pricey but Hobbs' wines are in a class by themselves due to the meticulous nature of farming...More

I'm a longtime admirer of Paul Hobbs and his approach to wine-making. During our tasting, the wines didn't disappoint in any way - considering that they were all quite young current releases. But the host(ess)'s discussion of the wines was largely uninformative, and the tour...More

Tasting is pricey ($45) but very good. We stayed a couple hours including the tour and tasting. No comps for buying wine or discounts for joining their club. Wines are good if a bit expensive. The tasting is a great experience.

We have been to Napa many times to visit wineries with a preference for Cabernets, but this was our first foray into Sonoma. Paul Hobbs has an excellent reputation and the visit and tasting did not disappoint. Avalon was extremely knowledgeable about their wines and...More

We had a delightful visit to this winery. Excellent wines, presented by a young, knowledgable and very pleasant young lady. Not pretentious, they offer but unlike many others in the area do not push their "club" and show how proud they are of their wines....More
