Enter through the gift shop. $5 charge. Interesting pictures a few artifacts a beautiful old style church, peaceful garden . unfortunately the adjacent cemetery is in terrible shape. Not worth trying to read the headstone.

We had a wonderful time touring the Mission. It's beautiful and full of amazing things to see. The Church is very special. A must see.

The grounds are stunning! Do take a stroll and enjoy the views. However, we witnessed a very unfortunate interaction between the gift store staff and some guests ahead of us who were interested in seeing the sanctuary. A fee was necessary to access the sanctuary and the way the staff conveyed this information was rude and unacceptable. My guess is... More

Peaceful and well maintained mission. It's smaller and less informative than mission San Jose but definitely worth a drop in, if you're in Solvang. The staff gave us helpful instructions and a map for the self-guided tour. The gardens are pretty and a good place to unwind.

A beautiful piece of California history! This place is well preserved and a great place to tour. The view from the parking lot is also amazing as it looks out over the valley below.

Just east of Solvang on rte 246, I find this one of the best of the California missions I have visited. It is still a working church, which I think adds to its aura of peace and tranquility. The beautiful church interior and sanctuary are adorned with many pieces of colonial South American art. There are several rooms of historical... More

This is one of the better "preserved" missions. Everything is in terrific condition, particularly compared some of the other missions. It sits on the top of a hill looking down a picturesque valley. It also sits at the end of a long string of tourist-trap blocks and offers a quiet and serene respite from the gaudy and tacky shops lining... More

Very educational. The self guided tour of the church and grounds is well done. Very beautiful church painting, etc., and lovely garden.
