Not an easy hike

Went there for a bit of a hike with my parents. It's not a piece of cake walk. Quite steep to get to the falls but very pretty ! We went in September and it was hot !

Only about 8 miles south of the city of Solvang is a nice park, named Nojoqui Falls Park. NO water at the falls area, yet a lovely park to spend some time.

We were excited to learn about this waterfall from the hotel staff, but got disappointed when we went there. There was no water and all dried up.. we could see where the water was falling and hope to come back when there is water..

I found this place by searching here places to go with my family. I am so glad I found this park! We got there around 10am and there were not a lot of people so we were able to enjoy some peace. Kids had a lot of fun! They were running around. We did the walk to the falls, unfortunately... More

This park is easily accessible from the highway and makes for a pleasant picnic stop. The walk to the falls is not strenuous and takes about 10 minutes. I imagine it would be cool and soothing under "normal" conditions. Unfortunately, California's extended drought has reduced the falls to scattered drips and the outflow to a few isolated pools.

After pasign the sign for the park for manyyears, we finally decided to stop and hike ot the Falls. After only a short 10 minute hike, we got to the Falls, but it had dried up. Perhaps it is f=due to the drought, or perhaps nature. We asked someone and they said there had not been any water in the... More

We went to see the waterfall which had dried up in the hot weather when we arrived. However lovely short walk through the woods. Sign warning you of mountain lions was a bit off-putting.

I read another review that said it was dry in July so I didn't get my hopes up. But was a nice short hike and nice drive there.

The drive down was more scenic than the park.. No falls, no a trickle of water in August. Maybe best to ckeck this out in winter or spring.

Nojoqui Falls. Waterfall hiking trail. We went in July and the travel brochure said there would be a small amount of water. I believe the exact verbiage was "a trickle." There was zero water. This is a BEAUTIFUL park and the walking trails are pretty but without the water running in the stream it was not worth the uphill hike.... More
