It's beautiful, there's no doubt about it. Breathtaking. There's some taffy shop places on the way, but the real deal is nature at it's best. In Jenner on a good day, where the river meets the ocean, you can walk up to (not too close) a bunch of Sea Lions. BUT, the road is extremely winding with many sharp curves,... More

Came out on Saturday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. There are many beaches along this coast to choose from, each having its own name and uniqueness (I didn't even realize that each area had their own name). Just be careful because the way down to the beach can be very steep. They normally would have a path but out children... More

Salmon creek beach is my favorite spot and I love it because there is a nice cove that protects from wind.

Schoolhouse is a very cool beach, tide pools that contain crabs and other crustaceans, The beach is rocky, not much sand but still easy to maneuver. Waves crashing on the rocks is an awesome sight and gives one pause of the might of nature As much as we like the beach at Schoolhouse there is another great feature there. If... More

It's a great beach to hangout and watch surfers, hike down and collect driftwood, shells and watch people. It can be completely crowded or just a few souls. Just north of Bodega which is a great place to visit and eat as well.

One of the nice wide beaches along the coast. Stopped to see the sunset. A nice spot in Sonoma to walk around.

Beautiful shoreline, clean beaches. Regret not making every beach point. Not enough time. Traffic was a little congested with road repairs, really on a SAT?

Breath taking view along Hwy 1. Nice beach under cliff. However you will need to hike down. The temperature is lower near ocean. Many people just sat there enjoy the view. Parking lots were full and many people parked on the side of highway during Indian summer. Specular view of rocky point to the north with wide sandy beach.

We made this drive from Sonoma up and back the same day. It's incredibly beautiful. The drive requires patience and a skilled driver. Don't rush this allow time to enjoy at a reasonable pace. Wharf area and beach in Bodega really neat to see. The town of Jenner - quaint and beautiful.
