Sangiran is an archaeological excavation site in Java in Indonesia. Sangiran is recognized by scientists to be one of the most important sites in the world for studying fossil man. The current museum and visitors' centre has three main halls which are very modern.

This museum was closed in part last year for extensive changes.The site and exhibits were updated and it is a great experience to visit this amazing educational site.

Access by car or motorbike, no public transportation here. Quite interesting to realize my hometown (Sragen) has decent museum. Prospective place but need more improvement

Sangiran is a beautiful place where we and the children can learn about the ancient history. Lot of lesson and beautiful spot if you like taking pictures. Great to take the kids here
