Its a great outdoors place to walk, mostly shaded so its not too hot even in the summer. A lot of wildlife can be seen from the trails and the trails are pretty smooth. Great for biking and hiking.

Excellent walking trails on edge of town. Not crowded. Can choose flat or trails that go to an overview.

Ranch park is one of my favorite spots around susanville. It has long peaceful trails and with the new upgrades there are even more to enjoy. The park is well maintained but never seems overly disturbed. Highly recommend.

Amazing views and lots of switchback climbs. At the top you can ring this big bell. Really fun riding back down!

Read about this park on TripAdvisor and found it easily while driving around Susanville. There's a good parking lot near the high school and a map showing several trails. Not prepared to hike, I wandered out about 15 minutes through rolling country with low brush, nice pine background and distant snow-covered mountains. Plenty of people walking or cycling, dog walking.... More

This is a beautiful place to hike and ride bikes! My dog loves traveling these trails with me! A great hike up to the heli-pad is great for the leg muscles and a beautiful view for your pleasure at the top!

Susanville Ranch Park has natural beauty just below the mountaintops with miles of walking or biking trails. It is a photographer's paradise with a stream running through it.

If hiking or short walks are your cup of tea, then head to Susanville Ranch Park. Here one can get away from the noise of town. The trails are well kept and easy walks. We saw and heard many different species of birds, bullfrogs croaking, and wildlife tracks.
