Whiting Ranch is a wonderful place to get out in nature and get some great exercise. The trails go pretty far back and are great because you can switch them up for a shorter or longer workout. Red rock trail is my personal favorite because...More

My goodness, some reviewers write as if they've never before seen or heard a mountain biker. Sure, there were some on trail but it wasn't as if the trails were a race course. Anyway, the fantastic walk to Red Rock Canyon consists of 2 miles...More

One needs to be careful when hiking as mountain bikers tend to ride fairly quick and could hit you. The park is very cool and has good hiking and biking areas. It does have a lot of sand in areas. Plenty of deer to see...More

Bicyclists love these beautiful trails so as a hiker you need to be on the watch for them. Other than that, it is a beautiful place to hike with older children and adults. Wild animals are frequently seen.

My co-worker invited me for a hike here last night, and I was amazed at how many different paths are available. There are warning signs for mountain lions, and another hiker told us he'd had an encounter with a rattle snake. Don't travel alone, bring...More

Very nice place to take a hike or mountain bike ride and get away from everything for a few hours. Red rocks trail is very scenic. Looks a bit like Arizona and even Colorado. Lots of Sandstone. Saw and heard several woodpeckers, evidence of coyotes,...More

This place is great to hike or bike! It takes me 1 1/2 hours to bike the loop (Hey! I'm 59). I have seen deer, raccoons, skunks, bobcats, coyotes and snakes and GREAT scenery. Its family friendly but keep kids close due to mountain lions....More
