This is a small volunteer run museum. They give you a history of the town and photos of then and now. This was only 200 years ago or so

Great little piece of history in downtown Truckee. The guides were very knowledgeable and described many stories about the history of the jail and locals back in the 1800s. Great artifacts and photos. Free admission (they run off of donations only) and worth a visit...More

Interesting historical aspects of this old railroad town, rehabbed over the years, town very touristy with great restaurants and lots of shops to browse, and of course drink yourself silly.

This is a cute little jail. The docents were fun and enjoyed giving tours. We were there over Memorial Day weekend and there were quite a few visitors. Good stories, artifacts and photos.
