Just came back from whitewater rafting on the North Fork Stanislaus with AO, and I highly recommend it! Water levels are really high, and I wish I could have taken pictures of the churning rapids. This is the first time since 2011 that the river has been open for rafting, so it was definitely a special treat. The rapids were... More

I visited the Cherry Creek section of the Tuolumne River is probably the most challenging whitewater adventure in the United States. Whitewater season is especially long and welcoming here — any time between March and October you’re guaranteed a heart-stopping run through equally amazing scenery.

What a trip on the Tuolumne River 2 day on 1st/2nd September. Have to say it was one of the best experiences of my life. After coming the whole way from Ireland it was the highlight of our trip. Our guides Scott and Carson were amazing. So well organised and so hospitable the whole time. Makes me want to chuck... More

From the initial conversations via e-mail to waving our good-bye's, this was a first class experience. Myself (56) my sons (24 & 20) & fiance (22) booked a Tuolumne river, 1-day experience before we got to Yosemite. My 14 year old wanted to do this as well but AO explained that at 34kgs, he was simply too slight to cope... More

We went on the one day tuolumne rafting day. We are a family with 2 kids of 12 and 14 years old. At the booking I had some doubts whether it would be too scary for the boys (and their parents), as we had no experience. All doubts however dissapeared quickly with our most competent oarsman Joe. He guided us... More

I had Jeffrey as a guide. Wow what a bad day. It was three moms and four kids we had to row most of the first half due to the water levels and Jeffrey spent the whole time yelling. My children were hot and he wouldn't let us jump in the water to cool down because we couldn't " row... More

Lanie, we have shared your view of your trip with our staff and will make adjustments as needed. AO does require helmets on all Class IV & V trips and makes them available upon request on Class III trips. We apologize if this opportunity wasn't presented to your group. More

Man these guys were great. I took the one day with two teenagers. I'd never rafted before, my kids once. The river satisfied both our expectations. The guides were fantastic. They had great knowledge of how to navigate the river, clearly had our safety and enjoyment as their primary charge, and giving us history of the river and its wildlife... More
