nice place to visit. gorgeous ride to Bakersfield, but this is a slow ride as the path keeps turning within the canyons and river.

The lake is amazing and even though it is only half full it is HUGE!! Took my paddle board across and fish were jumping out of the water around me. I am still so surprised how much there is to do around here, rock climbing,...More

We didn't expect such a pretty site on our way from ridgecrest to bakersfield. In Europa a lake like this would be a true touristic highlight, and crowded. Not here: hardly any people, no Infrastruktur like restaurants, shops. ..

Lake is not very pretty, but best of few options. Southside of lake pretty nasty with lots of algae. Best spot we found was near Hungry Gulch campsite. Gets a little crowded

The lake itself is not something very special but the road towards it and afterwards is really worth driving. Highly recommended!
