This is the third year we have been to the Bluewater festival. And the last. This year was just ripoff city; almost all plates of food $10 a go (quite a few stalls didn't even show the prices and you had to ask; only to then find out why!, $2 PER slide down an ancient slow slide, $6 to have... Best place in Brisbane to take the family for a relaxing day out. Bring a picnic as there are plenty of areas to play. The pier and park area is fully disability accessible from the car park and fairly level for elderly and wheelchairs. The pier is about 300m to the end and is the longest pier in Qld. The... More

Dog beach is brilliant - our little guy had a fantastic time swimming and there were no aggressive dogs. Plenty of space on the sand, great for shell collecting and if your dog is a confident swimming you can swim out with them. If not, wade through the shallow water as your dog swims beside you. Playground is brilliant! Dogs... More

A nice pier and nice walk but the area is lacking in other things. Was expecting somewhere to buy a drink or an ice cream in the area but this is not available. Must be the only pier in the world without one.

A beautiful place to come on a hot summers evening just as the sun is going down, there is usually a lovely cool breeze which is a welcome relief from the hot weather. There are usually plenty of people walking or relaxing along the lovely paths which take you into Sandgate or further down to Brighton if you are feeling... More

Great spot for bbq and social walks. Nice spot especially in the late afternoon. Picnic areas get crowded in peak times.

Cafes, seafood, picnic areas and BBQ's, 5k+ walk along foreshore, very popular with northside locals, lots of parking along foreshore and side streets. Always nice and cool/breezy. Close to train and bus terminal and shopping centre.

The Shorncliffe Pier was a lovely walk. The pier is made of beautiful timber and has great designer seating all along. Views of the Brisbane Port and Redcliffe lighting brightened up the night sky. The evening we were there, there were hundreds of jelly fish around so we decided not to swim lol but the fisherman were still catching fish!!

Shorncliffe Pier was a great place to take children fishing. It provided plenty of seating, fish cleaning areas and wide and long enough to hold many fishing fanatics. The area was clean and wheelchair access easily available. We caught several bream and sting rays (which were all returned to the ocean), the same could be seen with other groups along... More
