We usually come here and park the car for a brief visit. This time we drove further on the hiking trail till the snow/ice met the road. Plenty of hikers. Had to turn back. Good place for photography.

I have in the past pulled off into the parking area at Hoosier Pass and strolled around its short trails that have good views of nearby peaks, but this is the first time I have hiked the longer trail (an old mining road) that leads...More

This is a very quick drive from Breckenridge and there is a large parking area at the top. Unless you have a serious off road vehicle with lots of ground clearance get ready to park just off the main road and hike uphill for about...More

High elevation at the Continental Divide. You can learn about the settlers in this area. Great information.

The drive to Hoosier Pass was easy from Breakenridge. There was still snow there which surprised us.

The parking and getting back out is a little hairy, but the view is great and there's definitely a photo opportunity. Good historical place for kids.

Nice drive up the winding road. Go on a clear day to appreciate the views. Take the road all the way and do a loop back to Breckenridge. No cafe or toilets at the highest point
