It's a road with attitude. It's beautiful in summer and fall with mountain views and leaf peeping. In Winter, it can be an ice slick. There are locals and tourists living close to this road. Mountain bikers sometime zip down it in summer. There are great hiking/biking trails that are skinning trails in winter to Baldy.

Road was closed due to snow, but we walked about 1 mile up the road to see beautiful views of Breckinridge. Parked at a trail head but you need snowshoes to walk the trail

Bluebird Spring day in Breckenridge, chose to do something other than ski. The drive up Boreas Pass Rd has several sections to pull over and admire the view of Ten Mile Range, particularly of the Breckenridge Ski resort. Once you get to the small parking area at the end of the road you can access a couple trails. The path... More

Excellent trails and views for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. No charge. Not crowded. One of the best in Breckenridge.

I was able to see the pass all the way during summer while driving and on my recent winter visit, i was able to walk to see my favorite look out covered in snow. What a beautiful area. Further along the pass was the first time I was able to see a moose up on the mountain side.

I rode the Boreas Pass from Breck to Como and back on a mountain bike I rented in Breck. The terrain is good and the climb (it's all a climb) is not steep but it is long and requires a pretty high level of endurance fitness. I rode it in September when the leaves were turning and the higher elevation... More

This is a favorite off road pass. Easy enough for a novice driver and any 4 wheel drive vehicle. Great views of the mountains and perfect for an afternoon adventure.

We took a day and drove up the pass from Breck. It was a nice scenic ride. The rode gets a little iffy and narrow along the way, not even enough room for 2 cars around some of the curves. Some of the road is just rock and closed during certain times of the year. The views from the top... More

Winding trails that climb to the top of the mountains on the other side of the Colorado-9 highway. Offer majestic top-views of the Peak 7,8,9 and 10. Part of the road is closed in the winter.
