It's a nice hike but many people people on the trail. Also, it's very close to Breckenridge. This is quite nice because you dont have to spend hours driving. If you go with dogs during summer it can be quite hot for them. Please be...More

This is an excellent, somewhat challenging hike; lots of different experiences to be had. AllTrails.com rates this trail as moderate in difficulty; this is an accurate description, as this trail is not for those that are not in decent physical condition. First of all, be...More

Beautiful hike through woods and also in rocky areas, with multiple views of the waterfall. The hike to the Mohawk lake is worth the view. We did not go up to the second lake at peak, but there was another small lake to sit by...More

Several members of our family did this hike throughout the week. My husband and I made it to the waterfall--gorgeous scenery and not too bad of an incline. My sons and nieces went up to Mohawk Lake Lower, and couple of them made it to...More

The hike can be a little challenging, but it is well worth it. We have completed the hike 3 times, only once did we go all the way to the upper lakes. Most the time we just go to the lower lake. It is wonderful.

Elevation is the main issue. I found Trek poles to be very useful going in some of the rocky areas.
