The first time I went, I had no idea what to expect and it was a little scarey not to mention being a little puzzled why this road even existed. The next time I had learned a little more about the history of the road and was able to enjoy the amazing views of the town. However,I later learned about the... More

Worth your time! SO COOL and a bit terrifying! I do not recommend going with someone who likes to drive fast! Again - Definitely worth the time!

One of the scariest things I've ever done. Sherry Koski, Ruth and Irv Kaplan, and I drove the seemingly endless drive, above Canon City, about 1,000 feet up and barely wide enough for our car.

We were on our way to Royal Gorge and had time to stop here. It is right off the highway and there are signs for it. It only took us 20-30min and we stopped several times for pictures. The road is a small, one-way road that leads back into Canon City. It is high above for great views. Definitely worth... More

I did the Skyline Drive ONE time while my husband and 16-year-old daughter did it THREE times (she did FB Live once for our family back home and then wanted to get it on our GoPro too). I am not fond of heights and I am a nervous car rider so I certainly didn't like being up there with no... More

A tad exhilarating, even for someone who enjoys heights. Not for the faint of heart, but well worth the gorgeous views from the top.

Skyline Drive is crazy-narrow, very high, and has no guardrails whatsoever. None. However, it's a gorgeous drive with incredible views of both Canon City and the surrounding mountains. The entrance to the road is just west of Canon City along Route 50 after it bends due north. You'll need to keep an eye out for the road signs, because Skyline... More

This is an amazing, exhilarating scenic drive. It is a one-way road so you do not have to worry about on-coming traffic. There are a few spots to pull over and take pics. Since there were no other cars on the road when I went through I just stopped on the road instead of pulling over closer to the edge of... More

The ride up to the top is super pretty. Would recommend going at sunset and pulling off at a spot to watch. Beautiful views!

My husband, who is intimidated by heights, didn't like this. My kids were very wary (until they saw the dinosaur prints). I loved it. It is the same thrill as driving over a wooden bridge with the windows down. You feel safe, but like you MIGHT could fall through/over any minute. Didn't take long, but worth seeing everything from 'up... More
