Don't be fooled by the very steep incline at the beginning of this hike. It quickly levels off and follows the Arkansas River so you can watch rafters and kayakers. Bring water if the weather is warm and the sun reflects off the rocks. You...More

We really liked this hike along the river. The first 1/2 mile was the best, however, with the cool tunnels to walk through. We kept hoping to go through more, but after 2.5 miles, we gave up. I recommend going early in the day, it...More

This walk is close to the city and has amazing views. We like to walk here early in the morning or later at night. Not very many parking spots but worth the walk

After the few hundred yard rather steep incline, it is level and a beautiful walk. It is dog friendly. Highly recommend. Avoid if it is too hot because there is little shade other than the tunnels.

Was very pretty area but not well later out. Needs better signage. Better off going over to Pink House off 1st street. Better view of the river.

loved this hike. Smooth trail with chairs for breaks in between. The view was amazing. I love Colorado.

Tunnel Drive is misleading because it is NOT A DRIVE. FOOT TRAFFIC ONLY! WARNING! Some of this trail is black asphalt. We took our two small dogs on a hot, sunny day. The pavement was scorching, which we didn't think about because we had shoes...More

I enjoyed my walk/run on Tunnel Drive Trail MUCH better than the touristy places I had to pay for. This is an easy, 2-mile stretch (one way), and is a very easy and accessible hike. There were lots of beautiful birds, cool lizards, and lots...More

After the paved walk up from the parking lot the trail is flat. You go through three tunnels early on and then it's just a trail running along the river above the rail road tracks to Royal Gorge. We didn't finish so I cannot say...More

Tunnel Drive is a great walk to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The parking is low, and you have to walk up an incline to get to the trail. Once you get to the top, the trail is mostly flat. It is gravel and easy to...More

We must be slow hikers but it took us about 3 hours to go to the end and back.

There is construction equipment in the area and you will have to be careful to stay out of the way if they are working in the area. I was there on a weekend and no one was about. Given the recent snow storm you may not... More

We went on a Sunday so even though they were working on the path, they take Sundays off and the area was safe with no one working. My advice for finding it: Drive from Canon City PAST the prison museum/prison and take a... More
