There is a lot to see at the academy. They have golf, a recreation hall with swimming pool, courts, lots of exercise equipment that can be used by active and retired service people and their families. There is a beautiful golf course. The commissary is well maintained and you can find products there that are not usually in the stores.... More

Beautiful afternoon at the Air Force Academy. Arrived just in time to watch cadets march in formation to lunch. Great view from the deck surrounding the chapel. Arrive by 11:25 am. Pretty awesome thing yo watch. Visitor center small but following a short film about life at the Academy some nice historical exhibits and gift shop.

Enter at the North gate. If you are going for a Sunday Service, get there early because they check the cars. Make sure you have ID and no weapons, ( even if you have a Concealed Carry Permit), and no large purses or backpacks. The Chapel is an all-faiths house of worship. Behind the altars, there are amazing abstract glass... More

I was able to visit the officers club at the Academy when I lived here in '81-'95...Thanks to a retired Colonel...now THAT was a treat!!! Any serviceman has to make this stop if ever in the Springs. I attended many football games over the years and that in its self is entertaining but the always half-time show of the falcons... More

The Chapel at the United States Air Force Academy is one of a kind. It's beautiful from the outside and magnificent from the inside. If you get a chance to hear the organ within, you'll be swept away by the sound. Before entering the grounds, you will need to gain access to the Academy by the North gate. Be sure... More

The United Air Force Academy in beautiful Colorado Springs would make any American proud! It is located at the base of the beautiful Rocky Mountains and all the facilities are pristine, clean and a joy to tour. Probably the most famous is the chapel, which is a must see. The architecture is amazing! Lots of easy hiking trails and many... More

This campus was absolutely beautiful. We walked around and were able to see not only a wonderful campus but also beautiful scenery. My favorite was the chapel. It is breathtaking.

The youngest of the United States Service Academies. Built in 1959 it is a jewel against the foothills of the Rampart Range. The most famous tourist attraction is the Air Force Academy Chapel. Home to all major religions it is a beacon of Religious Freedom. Cadets upon graduation serve as 2nd Lieutenants in the US Air Force. Be sure to... More

If you're in Colorado Springs of ANY reason you must spend at least a mere hour seeing the beauty of our local Academy. There are only 4 in the nation, so don't miss this opportunity of driving through the campus that is situated around the natural wonders of mountains, hills, valleys, trees, herds of elk and soaring birds of prey....
