Not to be missed when visiting the Springs, best time is early morning before the crowd arrives. Lots of trails to hike

You can drive through the park and stop at some of the spectacular spots, like Steamboat Rock. We took the 1.1 mile paved trail from the visitor center to the site of the (long gone) beer garden and views of the kissing camels and cathedral spires. From there, trails continue in several directions and geologic wonders abound. We ate lunch... More

No trip to the Springs is complete without a visit to this awe-inspiring site. Drive the circle road through the park, then hike around the rocks, then take in the history of the place with the video in the Center. Don't plan lunch there though as there are so many other better options. The view of this magnificent place is... More

This park is not that big but the views and rock formations are spectacular. It is also free so it doesn't cost anything to enjoy it. Foolish not to check it out if you are in the area.

My kids had a blast climbing around the rocks, and my wife and I loved the scenery. There are lots of plaques around that give interesting information.

You cannot describe this place to people, you have to show them. The big, honkin' red rock formations are stunning. Do not miss Balanced Rock, and make sure you take a picture of yourself pretending to hold it up. It is likely that you will see lots of bunnies hopping around and enormous buck deer striding casually along. Do not... More

One of the most beautiful and scenic parks in town, but tight parking for a large park, and lots of tourists make the visit one less star. Family and tourist park, well staffed, clean, safe, easy to locate on the side of the mountains. Free to visit, free to park. Porta potties available, visitors center nearby. Need better signs inside... More
