Have a WILD adventure at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo – see the animals, ride an antique carousel, eat a gourmet lunch at the Grizzly Grill and ride the Mountaineer Sky Ride to the Zoo’s summit. The parking lot at the zoo was full, so we took the free shuttle (on a school bus!) from Cheyenne Mountain high school. We paid $22.75 per person for admission, which included a $2 discount coupon. Look for the coupon in zoo brochures at local...More

This is a great zoo, especially for small kids. Very walkable and manageable. We saw just about everything in about 3 hours. Kids loved seeing all the animals, especially the giraffes up close and we even saw bears fighting/playing. There are lots of opportunities to...More

I’ve been to a lot of zoos and I thoroughly enjoyed this one! If you are in the area and like animals I highly recommend going! Their giraffes are awesome, and you can feed them any time! You also don’t want to miss the elephant...More

We really enjoyed our visit to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. It was so much more than we were expecting. The first exhibit we went to was the giraffes and they were eye to eye. One literally licked my hand when I wasn’t paying attention. Great...More

Peak Days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so we managed to go on a non-peak day. Lots of schools were there for field trips, but it wasn't that crowded. The sky ride across the zoo was fun. The Aquatics building was closed, so the hippos,...More
