We took this drive on a hot day during our recent Colorado vacation. It's nice that it's free. The road through the canyon is pretty, and Helen Hunt Falls is a nice little stop. We took the hike from the trailhead that starts at Helen...More

The Helen Hunt falls are very pretty....not the tallest falls, but you'll get a nice workout if you chose to take the hike up to the top of the falls. Very friendly and helpful workers at the information building, also. Free to visit, unlike the...More

My husband and I visited the park last year and it is the first place I brought my son on this year's Colorado adventure! We love the park and made multiple stop along the drive to the top. On this trip we hiked Mt. Muscoco,...More

Free, informative/educational (Starsmore Discovery Center). Escape summer heat, within 20 minutes of downtown Colorado Springs, numerous hiking trails, picnic facilities. Arrive EARLY. Extremely popular. Like more extensive hiking, go to the end of the road, 10 minutes up the Canyon. Park in the dirt parking...More

A great place to hike in Colorado Springs. We were tired after a day at the zoo so didn't hike much but next time we go to Colorado Springs we plan on spending more time there.

Lots of hiking paths with various levels of difficulty. Great views from any of the paths with lots of hidden waterfalls and views to discover.

Visited on our way RMNP. Beautiful park and the one hike we got to do was great. Unfortunately we did not get to do more as our window was smashed in apparent smash and grab while on the trail. At least one other car had...More

This is my favorite hiking spot in Colorado Springs. I'll probably hate myself for telling you about it because I prefer to keep it to myself. But too pretty not to share. Even a novice hiker will love the waterfalls, rushing river, shaded trails. It's...More

Had a lot of fun hiking 2 different trails. I highly recommend Mt. Cutler. Great views. Can even see Helen Hunt falls on the way. On the weekend the place is crowed. Try to go during the week. To top it off it is free.

Yes- the road is navigable with large vehicles. It's windy, but you can still fit two wide quite easily.

You can find maps on the internet and the park is not that big. There is one road through it and trails on either side of the canyon. Hard to get lost.
