We just happened to be passing by the Capitol and went in, no sign of a tour or people or anything. We kept wandering and found an information desk and there was a tour about to start. The tour was pretty good, some of the history is interesting and the explanations for the artwork as well. But worth going (and... More

Gorgeous photo op during the day but I don't think I'd ever be out in this area at night. Unfortunately all the park areas there are a ton of homeless and mentally ill people in downtown Denver I went with my mother who is almost 80 and at times we were afraid even in the daytime.

This tour is free and only 45 minutes long but it was terrific. Volunteer tour guide Riggs Smith was so informative and culturally sensitive to the history of all people of Colorado. His knowledge was amazing and he is wonderful storyteller. I only wish we had had more time with him. The Capitol itself is fascinating, starting with only using... More

The capital is easily assessable. However around the area is a lot of homeless people so be careful and be alert.

The Capitol is a worthwhile building to explore. Especially since the restoration has been completed. If you are interested in government, history, politics, you can venture into many directions with your discoveries. When the exhibitions tower is open, the view over the city and toward the Rockies is fantastic.

A glorious testament to Colorado history and the democratic ideal. An interesting place to view old photographs, and an imposing seat of government.

Fans of Capitols will not be disappointed by Denver home of state government: the live legislature and the history in the Supreme Court, with a little museum tucked away on the climb up to the dome overlooking the city. Free tours every half-hour too.

A visit to the state capitol is a great way to see the inter-workings of the Colorado goverment. This is a great place o visit with educational groups and schools.

Loved this stop on our trip to Denver. My favorite was taking a picture at 1 mile above sea level. The step is clearly marked out in front of the capital. The view looking out over the lower buildings of the city is remarkable to, as you can see the mountains off in the distance. As someone from a flat... More

The state capital area of Denver is beautiful. The massive trees in the park are stunning, beautifully shaped, full lush and likely more than 100 years old. Although I don’t consider myself in any of these categories, a tour of the capital building is a must for history buffs, trivia fans, culture enthusiasts, and geologists. Denver is known as the...
