There are constantly political events here. Whether it is for Marijuana on April 20th, The Women's March, Gay Pride, or an assortment of other organized events, people come from all across Colorado to this location.

We "self-guided" through the building, using the visitor guide leaflet. It was very informative and added enormous value to our enjoyment of this great public building

Our recent visit in and around the Colorado State Capitol was confronting. The number of homeless people around that part of town was sad. As an overseas traveller, I felt awkward and unsettled.

My husband and I participated in the free capitol tour and learned a lot of interesting information about Colorado, the capitol and famous Coloradans. The view from Mr. Brown's Attic was spectacular.

Beautiful building, but there are a LOT of homeless people in this area. When we went, there was a choir singing on the steps, which was very nice.

Found uninteresting they want a review. I'm assuming not a political review. That will not happen even if what is being asked for by trip advisor. It's a Capitol building. What you would expect, except the plaque for 5280 feet above sea level is only...More

It was so cool to see this and other state buildings. Amazing history and design. Go during the day as lots of homeless in the night.

Four adults and three young kids walking the steps and talking about the statues and standing a mile high...wonderful day.

There are public lots all around the capitol. Most are reasonably priced. If you're staying at one of the downtown hotels I would recommend catching the 16th Street Bus.
