This place has it all!! I have been coming for many years. From space to American Indians to Colorado Ecosystems, there is something for everyone. Personally I enjoy gems and minerals. The history of gold mining in our state featured prominently in this galley. Very family friendly. Did I mention the IMAX? Good for all ages. The ecosystem dioramas and animals... More

The museum was very interesting. It had a lot of everything. Animals, dinosaurs, space, science, biology, human history, etc. we had a good time, I was impressed with a lot of the exhibits. Need about 6hrs probably to really take in everything. Had fun would recommend to anyone.

This museum has a great hands on for kids, excellent taxidermy exhibits (from the early 1900's) and unbelievable views of the city. Parking is free and easy. Catch an IMAX show, the planetarium or the special exhibit (the Vikings)! Plan on several hours at least and that really is not enough time to take it all in. When it is... More

We arrived right at 9 and asked which areas we should visit before the museum got busy. We were directed to visit the health and space areas first and wow that was great advice! We enjoyed the exhibits in those areas just in time. The health section was a lot of fun. You get a card and do different things... More

This was always a great museum. Was cleaned, changed and expanded and is fabulous. A lot of hands stuff for kids and the displays of wildlife are spectacular. Plenty of live demonstrations and an IMAX theatre. A lot of parking with the parking garage adjacent. Close to the zoo.

Such an awesome museum with multiple educational exhibits! Volunteers and staff members are courteous and eager to assist in all educational opportunities. A few things to be aware of: 1. On any given WEEKDAY from open till about 2 pm, expect AT LEAST a half dozen different school groups. We went on a Wednesday and there were 13 different school... More

My kids always pick the Museum over anywhere else I suggest. They love it so much. The new kid's Discovery Zone is very cool, but they do a great job of making the whole museum really cater to kids and adults of all ages.

I was raised in Denver and grew up visiting this museum several times a year. Last summer, after having lived in CA for most of my adult life, my husband and I went to the museum again. OMG...what a huge and beautiful space. The number of exhibitions boggles the mind as does the variety. They also have plenty of seating... More

LOVED this museum! We visited here on a weekday and the crowds were not too bad. Parking was easy and there were no lines. Admission prices were a little high compared to what we are used to, but the museum was very nice. We paid extra for planetarium tickets and to see the Vikings exhibit ($62 total for the 2... More
