What an amazing surprise this museum turned out to be. It has to be one of the most user-friendly museums I have been to. While telling the history of the area you actually get to interact with the history. For example, they have a barn where you can pick the eggs from the hen house then take them to the... More

Excellent introduction to Colorado history. Great for families as well. Great exhibit about Native Americans. Also, we were fascinated with the display about the transition from mining to recreation in the mountains. Enjoyable couple of hours.

We recently moved to Colorado and thought this would be a good way to learn more about the state. We were right! This place isn't just for kids although it's very kid friendly and interactive. Highly recommend!

The museum's website gives you all the information you need to use those stories and pictures left in boxes in Mom's garage. Make an appointment with Library research staff, and haul it all in (well maybe just a few things), and they will help you get started. They also have a number of special exhibits about the amazing history of... More

I love history and they had plenty of impressive displays, and even a couple of cheesy but fun interactive exhibits.

The History Colorado Center is a must-see stop for visitors to Denver and a great place for the whole family. The center is ambitious in its effort to cover the widest possible range of Colorado history, including: native tribes, early settlers, mining, the ski industry, Japanese internment, water and climate issues, agriculture, transportation, and rotating special exhibits. All exhibits are... More

There is plenty of stuff to see and do at this museum. Price is a bit steep, but there is a ton of cool stuff to see, and the kids will have a blast.

It's an enormous museum, but there's not a lot going on/it's not the most interesting place. They have some nice visiting exhibits every now and then.

Typically, I love the Natural History Museum, but had overlooked this one. What an oversight! I found the museum amazing! Certainly, if you were a teacher - or a parent with children, this would be such a worthwhile day....( My friend and I are retired teachers - and kids at heart...) We watched in amazement as children all around us... More
