As an east coaster, I knew very little about Colorado history. This was a great way to learn more. It was also a conveniently located option (2 blocks from the Denver Art Museum) via the Mile High Culture Pass. I began on the top floor...More

This modern, airy museum in the city’s cultural district was a great find. As first time visitors to Denver, we learned a great deal about the city and the region. There were many interactive displays and short films that made it very engaging. The exhibit...More

The displays and exhibits are a very good record of the history of Colorado starting from the Utes tribes which migrated to the area 1 300 years ago. Beaver and buffalo drew hunters and in 1821 the Santa Fe trail opened. The Gold Rush of...More

We were pleasantly surprised at how many different aspects of Colorado history this museum displays. We originally stopped by just because it’s close to the art museum but we really enjoyed it and learned a lot. There are many hands-on exhibits to try out, and...More

Pleasantly surprised how much Colorado history was available to explore in this museum! Thoroughly enjoyed each floor of this museum and all the variety of displays. Colorado A-Z and the mine simulation were our favorites. Would definitely recommend visiting if ever in the Denver area.
