Although it's a little divey, it has great history and guaranteed good music. We alway have to go to the Pec when we are in town-very diverse crowd. It's the kind of place that (mostly) everyone really enjoys. It's just a fun classic spot. Cash only-also serves mexican food. Clearly a hopping part of town. I kind of like the... More

This is quite authentic bar for music, fun and party. It is old enough that Jack Kerouac and companion could visited here. But did they? Perhaps, perhaps not, but is it important if the bar itself is little bit like a museum? It is easy come and go in this bar where also prices were reasonable.

As a local, this is a great place to finish the evening after a game at Coors Field: its convenience, ambience, and "cost of entry" are a perfect match whether the Rockies won or lost. Beyond the dive bar (cheap booze) and homestyle cooking (cheap food), the music really sets the vibe. Friendly, unpretentious staff. It's cash only, FYI.

I was told about El Chapultepec by a friend and it did not disappoint. It is a classic dive bar with a phenomenal jazz music vibe. I was skeptical at first but once the band started I had a blast. Cash only but ATM on premises. Definitely a go to in Denver.

Stopped in last Friday after work for a drink and a bite to eat and the infamous El Chapultepec! Waitresses are super friendly. Building is classic old school dive bar with jazz flare and great live music! Nothing exceptional or outstanding as far as menu goes, basic bar Mexican food served on paper plates. Burritos and tacos are basic but... More

We enjoyed the drinks and the music at El Chapultepec! This place is a great spot. I would recommend arriving early to claim a booth or table.

My husband and I went to this restaurant while on a tour. It has a lot of great history as a lot of famous Jazz players have played on that stage. The bar has pictures all around of who have played there. The bar really looks like a dive bar from the outside but it was explained that they don't... More

The walking tour took us to three whiskey bars, the first was a distillery that was very interesting, the second a Whiskey Bar ~ quaint and fun and the third and last was El Chapultepec ~ It's a small but friendly bar ~ restaurant. The music was good ~ was a mixture of jazz and salsa. We had the beef... More

Too bad we only had half an hour to enjoy this authentic bar and its very good live music. This is the real thing.
