We did not realize it is outdoor eating until we arrived. Burgers, grilled cheese, and soup were all great. Plenty of picnic tables even on a sunny Saturday with live music. Seemed to be a lot of locals there with children, so it is obviously a popular place. Wonderful view of the ranch and mountains. A great switch from a... More

Home grown beef, chicken, cheese and I don't know what else, but it sure is good. Even something like potato salad is better than any I've ever tried. You pay a little more for the richness and the freshness of the ingredients, but OMG what a great burger!

We've been to James Ranch for lunch a few times. They have locally grown beef and they are known for their burgers and melts. My family loves them. I love their veggie burger, which is grilled vegetables on a brioche bun with melted cheese. Yummy! Everything on the menu is fresh and locally grown. In the summer months they also... More

Having lunch outdoors at James Ranch has become so popular that they have had to expand the kitchen. Best grilled cheese sandwich ever...made with their own cheese. Their organic farming methods are actually fascinating so take the wagon tour if you can. Little store there has their fresh vegetables, cheese, and grass fed beef.

Great Burgers and Salad! Love the atmosphere of sitting outside and petting the baby goats. If you are headed north of Durango in the summer, I highly recommend a stop here for lunch!

I purchased half a beef this fall and am very glad I did. It is fabulous! Had lunch while I was waiting to pick up my order. The home made cheese is very good. Love the location. Will definitely be back.
