We had a lovely evening walk around Evergreen Lake. Part of the trail is closed for renovations, but we were still able to walk most of the way around the lake. There are boat and paddle board rentals, fishing, a nature center, and a lake...More

This little lake can be traveled to quickly from Denver and the drive is a quick tease of the mountain and easy switch backs. Take a picnic and/or rent a paddle board and enjoy the mountains for an afternoon.

Evergreen lake is gorgeous. We got here at sunrise, saw a group of elk, other wildlife, hiked and you can rent paddleboards, canoes and paddle boats and enjoy views to die for. Great picnic venue. Concerts in summer, ice skating in winter and town nearby...More

Very pretty lake. Entrance is free. You don't really have to walk the trail, of course it would give very good views. We stopped by for an hour or so, walked around a bit, our little one had a nice time splashing in the creek....More

This is one of our favorite spots all year round. In the summer you can rent paddle boards and row out on the lake. In the summer the frozen lake turns into a massive, natural ice skating experience. Great, relaxing place for family.

No overnight camping but setting up a tent during the day should be okay.

It was flat and dogs are permitted on-leash only. We did the trail with our elderly parents.

I'm sorry, we 're not from the area and it was a day trip. I'd call the recreation center directly to find out about that. There were no fees for day parking, but it was fairly congested.
