There are many easy dirt roads and harder four wheeling roads. Many beautiful campgrounds which are off the beaten path. Old mines and mine buildings as well as operating gold mines. Fishing, hiking and historical sites.

We regularly find ourselves hiking in the Pike National Forest. It is filled with lovely trails, a variety of vegetation and abundant wildlife. A great place to spend time, whether on vacation or just anytime.

Have taken several trails including Weston Pass Road to Fairplay, Cty Rd 20, and Cty Rd 18. All have amazing scenery. Tons of wildflowers. No people at all on the weekdays except some longer stay campers.
