This set of gardens, down the street a ways from the better known Annual Flower Trial Gardens, is focused on plant breeding and evaluation in the local climatic conditions. My first visit to PERC was fantastic. If you want to observe a wide variety of plants, this is for you. There were plants whose leaves shriveled up at the touch, mango trees, beautiful orchids, and all kinds of other student projects.
