So nice we moved here!

The Valley is a wonderful place. So many outdoor activities for everyone and every season. A lot of entertainment and community events. Can't say enough about this Valley.

Mount Sopris is so bohemouth and beautiful, you stop breathing for a minute. It's a gift from heaven to you on earth. Take the time to see it and explore it...you will be glad you did. Wow!

I hike and backpack in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness almost every year. Although Maroon Peak, Pyramid Peak, and Capitol Peak, and Snowmass Peak kill climbers nearly every year, the summits can be appreciated on day hikes or overnight backpacking trips from the valley floor or high passes in the area. Avoid summer weekends when trails and campsites are busy. Daytime... More

The valley is beautiful any time of year. The forest growth coming from the red rocks is an excellent backdrop for pictures. Explore the hills via 4x4 or foot or ski, the beauty doesn't end. My favorite thing to do here is to walk down to the confluence of the Colorado River and the Roaring Fork River and enjoy the... More

My 25 year-old daughter, her boyfriend and I did an all day (6 hour) whitewater rafting trip with the first leg being from Carbondale to Glenwood Springs in the Roaring Fork River. The river and valley scenery was gorgeous with 13,000' snowcapped Mt. Sopris in the distance much of the way. We saw Blue Herron rookeries and several Bald Eagles... More

The Roaring Fork Valley has so many beautiful spots to see and places to visit. Camping, hiking, off-roading, fishing, history, old buildings and wildlife! One of the best times to visit is in the fall when the aspen leaves are changing. True Colorado beauty!

Just wait until you drive through Glenwood Canyon to reach Glenwood Springs. Its fantastic. Of course, when you drive toward Carbondale, you meet Mt. Sopris, a remarkable mountain. Take a trip up the Crystal River, too.

We rode the valley on bicycles from Aspen to Glenwood. Rio Grande Trail was awesome, 42 miles seemed a breeze. Detour took us past Woody Creek Tavern, that was cool!!! Caught the Roaring Fork Transportation bus in Glenwood, rode bus for 2 hours and got off in Aspen.
