I can only agree with most of the other reviews. The place is beautiful but the hike up is hard work, particularly, if like me you are on the "senior side" and not as fit as once upon a time. The altitude as well kicks...More

It was an interesting day. Although it was raining when we began our hike, we were soon in the trees where the rain seldom reached us. The creek was so beautiful, running wild with the runoff from the winter snow and recent rain. The waterfalls...More

Stunning and beautiful. We did a few hikes in Colorado and this one was my favorite. Doesn't take too long, but plan a couple hours and take your time when you get to the top. Also don't stop at the lake. Take a couple minutes...More

This is a must see when you are anywhere near Glenwood. In all of the hiking I have done there is nothing like this place. The hike is comfortable for the whole family. I only wish that we lived closer so that we could see...More

Nice hour hike from trailhead. Moderate elevation gain from trailhead ends at fantastic small pond and grotto. Unfortunately it is suffering from overuse and idiots graffiti.

This lake is so peaceful and clear!! Almost looks fake! I could sit and relax here all day! The hike is a little bit up hill, can take a little but is well worth it!

A short but challenging hike will take you to one of the most photographed spots in Colorado. Well worth the effort, just take your time. The parking lot gets full in a hurry, so arrive early!

Hanging Lake is a true paradise that needs to be preserved. Yes, to all of the beautiful reviews out there! It is all of them, but there was a day that it was not crowded, it was a true peaceful place with beautifully blue birds...More

No it is not stroller friendly this is an advanced hike, that is fairly difficult for a healthy individual.
Hello! Does anybody know when the leaves begin to turn on the Aspens in this area? I realize it varies year by year but is it typically mid September or later September-early October? Thanks!

Okay, so not too much color change last weekend. Still very green! I would give it another week to start seeing some real change...especially if the nights begin to get cooler.
Can you get in the water?

This is a PRISTINE area absolutely do not get in the water. As a previous person answered, if you need to get wet, go stand behind the waterfall
