After landing at the Grand Junction airport, we picked up a rental car and drove downtown where we had lunch at the Dream Café and spent the afternoon enjoying the fountains, flowers, trees, and more than 100 works of art that are part of the Art on the Corner, a free outdoor sculpture exhibit. Some of the sculptures were amazing.... More

The conversion from a wide, dingy street to a beautiful walkway took place in 1964, when I was still in high school. Although there have been a few improvements in recent years, Grand Junction has always been a place of modest houses and businesses and low income, but people with some foresight and imagination upgraded Main St. years ago. Free parking, areas to stroll, lots of street art and some good stores make Main St. the best part of the city for... More

Had some time to kill so we ventured downtown. Made for a nice relaxing walk. Most of the stores were closed but kids had fun looking at all the different sculptures. Some are good for funny pictures. Perfect for a cheap relaxing time killer.

The downtown area of Grand Junction is just a wonderful place to see the sights, find a hotel, see some great unique shops and find a great variety of food. The city has done a great job of bringing the downtown area to the public and visitors. Its an easy walk down several blocks with easy parking and access to... More

All the Christmas lights were up and the town was festive. There are so many sculptures on every corner and roundabout. The town has a real charm.

Enjoyed the toy store with the grandkids. Summit Canyon Mountaineering sports shop for the grandparents and then a walk back in time with lunch at the Main Street Cafe.
