Big, open spaces!! Lots of room between sites, full hook ups, clean basic bathrooms (although not a fan of the quarter for 3 minutes of shower), pretty park, level, open. Saw lots of deer, rabbits, and other wildlife, plus the prettiest sunrise and sunset!

Like Chatfield but 10$ a day for a Colorado resident is ridiculous, no break for seniors on daily pass, if you have a hunting license it should be less also .

Been coming to Chatfield for years to walk, play, birdwatch, and take my dogs to swim. Keep your eyes to the sky. White pelican migrate through here. Raptors are common and I've seen bald eagles more than once on the north side of the park.

I ride this fairly regularly, it's connected to the 470 and Platte trail systems. There is still a rough spot about 6 miles in from the c-470 underpass, but bike lanes are improving and the road in from the south is new. Rolling hills, one...More

Busy during the weekends. ANS decontamination required if you take your boat here to any other lake in Colorado. Weekdays aren't bad. Fishing boats in the center of the skiing area all the time giving you looks when you make any sort of wake as...More

No, I do not think so. There is a grocery store about 1.5 miles to the north. The shopping center has a McDonalds, Starbucks, Walgreens, tamale kitchen (Mexican) and a few other stores. The inetersection is Chatfield... More
