We virtually NEVER give anything less than 4 stars (i.e., we're very easy to please). First - make sure that when you call to make reservations that you ask to sit in the "3 seat side" of the train versus 2 seat side. All the beautiful views are on the 3 seat side. Can you guess where we sat? Two... More

My husband is a train buff and this was a super adventure for him & me. We liked taking the train instead of driving because we could relax and our guide was excellent in explaining the area to us. We would have missed all the information & her cute jokes if we would have driven up to the top. I... More

When you arrive the organisation in getting parked and getting your tickets works well. We visited in April and there were still people on a waiting list so it would appear that booking prior to arriving is a sensible thing to do. The station is a lovely little wooden structure and is a pleasant place to spend the 20 or... More

We all had a great time on the train. Our conductor was very informative, although I did have trouble hearing him at times. If there was anything that I think they could improve on is the seats are a little uncomfortable for such a long trip up and down the mountain. There were six of us guys all traveling together,... We drove up day before but couldnt get to summit - so was dissapointed with train. Expensive and abit boring. If you have a car then drive it - its not half as bad as people say. And views are outstanding

My husband and I visited this attraction over the weekend and we really enjoyed it. It was a very unique experience, but I do think the price was a bit steep for what it was. We would still do it again, but also keep in mind that there is an option to drive up. The conductors on the train were... More

What an amazing ride! The vistas are magnificent. The design of the railcar with it's expansive windows allows for each rider to have an unparalleled view of the countryside as you slowly ascend this formidable mountain. Our tour guide, Lindsay, was extremely informative and had a great sense of humor. Our conductor (I can't remember his name) was very focused... More

Warning! This is very popular and you will need a reservation !! Make your plan early on and opt for the onsite parking. It's an extra $ but well worth it! The Train cars are new and very comfortable- the staff is very Professional and knowledgeable shared interesting information about the train, Pike's Peak and the area! While a bit... More
