Cool spot, under construction

Looks like it's a great spot, we walked around the grounds but the heart of the building is under construction. Promises to be a bigger and better exhibit. There are multiple... read more

We go by The Ute Indian Museum almost every day. The construction is going very well with walls and glass installed. The design is modern and looks to be a very interesting place once it is complete. The exhibits will be even better than before. It will definitely be worth waiting for.

This is a terrific museum dedicated to the Ute Indian's. It is chock full of historical items that include authentic clothing, tools, pottery, photos & a large buffalo head. Very cool. We took family & then friends and each time we thoroughly enjoyed it!

I went to see the museum Saturday morning and it's under construction, so I went to there new location and it is a waste of time They had one blanket and couple Indian artifacts I just felt like a waste of time to drive there from Grand Junction

It's currently under construction and on this Wednesday afternoon it was not open . Signs said Summer 2016 but from the looks it's going to be a bit longer I'm guessing.

This is one of those things I stumbled upon and really enjoyed it. I would recommend it to families, couples or to do by yourself on a rainy day.

Went by to see this museum but it is closed for renovation/ expansion. The signs say it will reopen either fall 2016 or early 2017 depending on which one you read. There is a nice garden across the street with native plants and signs explaining how the Ute people used them so the trip was not a complete waste but... More

A surprisingly good collection artfully displayed. Gift shop has many reasonable gift selections as well. Kids will love the tee-pees outside.

This is a good place to pop in for a few hours. I can't really recommend going out of your way to visit this museum though.

Looks like it's a great spot, we walked around the grounds but the heart of the building is under construction. Promises to be a bigger and better exhibit. There are multiple tepees on property, a path to the river and overall nice property. Kids loved it anyway
