    Wow
This is amazing. A fantastic venue for listening to music. We called on the way to the mountains - what a special place. There are a lot of steps to reach amphitheatre, but well worth the racing heart to get there! Workmen were there, extending the seating capacity of the arena and resurfacing the stage area. Snow covered part of the theatre. What a very clever construction and the views with Denver way in the magnificent. This is well worth a detour - not far from I-70.

    Stunning
Tuesday, March 21st, 2023 12:00pm We always said when we get to visit Denver, our first point of business was to experience a live concert at Red Rocks, we tried to come in October 2022 to see Phantogram & Young the Giant live but didn't make it We instead came March of 2023 and learned concerts typically occur during the summer/early fall but decided to go anyways to admire the 1941 venue that sits 6,450 feet above sea level, with natural rock formations and it's walls that contain records dating back to the Jurassic period 160 million years ago with discovered dinosaur tracks and fossil fragments of 40' Plesiosaur In 2015, Colorado Music Hall of Fame opened its doors at the Trading Post Entrance is always free when there isn't a concert Beautiful drive on the way there and on the way in Easy and convenient parking Some construction was going on but there were still paths to get inside the open air amphitheater Lovely walk to/from with stunning views (wear sunscreen/travel with water at all times/wear proper footwear w/socks) A lot of people and many with their cute pets admiring the space, some taking photos of all the scenic views or Amphitheatre itself, others exercising or taking walks/hikes on the trails, plenty siting and taking in all the historic beauty We loved it and can't wait to return and experience a live show. I assume you'll need a butt pillow of some kind for those hard wooden seats for a 2-4 hour show with zero back support. We shall see ;)

    Recommend!
I just went in April and I had a great time. I was there for sunset and I couldn’t see the Amphitheater because there was a concert. I still was able to take a hike. I recommend walking the trading post trail for the best views!

    Red rocks: under construction
Red rocks is always amazing, but make sure you are dressed for the weather. They are doing construction at the top rn so keep in mind bathrooms lines will be longer. This won’t affect the spectacular views or the incredible sound of this world-famous venue! Also, be considerate of your neighbors. We paid for our vip tickets so don’t think you can weasel your way in or force your way in towards the end of the show.

    Great Venue!
Great venue, can't wait to go back! We got rained on and when the temperature dipped to the 40's, this SoCal native got too cold to stay and watch the show we traveled to Colorado for. Does this experience make me want to avoid going back? Heck no! Next time I will pack a poncho with my blanket. Do bring a blanket and be prepared to climb lots of step regardless of where you park. The upper lot is closer to the venue so may make it easier for people like me who have mobility issues. There was an over-zealous security guard working the parking lot who would be better suited working at a prison IMO. Definitely see a show at this venue when given the opportunity!

    Beautiful Morning Walk
We drove to the top (North) parking lots....glad we did as it was a long way up. The amphitheatre was amazing. Build into the stone and granting views of the stage from wherever you are. The rest of the park is also amazing. There a lovely areas, and you can walk/hike as you want.

    Scenic Find!
We didn't realize this was here when we were visiting the area and I am so glad my husband found it! The scenery was beautiful and the amphitheater setup was so neat! Would love to see a performance here someday. I love that you could hike here and that paved hiking areas are available. There are a lot of steps that made for a good workout! It is free to come and explore the attraction and the restrooms and area were very clean! We didn't realize that the little beverage/snack stands were not open and that the gift shop area was closed, however, on the way out we saw a trading post combined with a very small rock and roll museum that did have snack/drink options as well as souvenirs for purchase.

    Amazing all around
1st time visit for a concert. Not sure what could make this place any better except an escalator to the top. Be prepared to do a little stair climbing and/or uphill walking. The sound and views were some of the best I have ever seen. Clean bathrooms and affordable concessions. If it bothers you, know that they ask attendees not to publicly use marijuana but it’s obvious people are partaking. Will return!

Beautiful venue. A lot, and I mean a lot of steps! I hate the bench seating. Some people don't understand the concept of their own space. Dude sat closer to me than my husband. Awesome gift shop. Amazing concert. Sound was perfect.

Beautiful area. Nice gift shop, hall of fame.
We stopped on our way to Denver. The amphitheater is open to visitors until 3 pm. We were 5 minutes late, so that was disappointing since we wanted to see the actual theater. We were able to visit the gift shop and hall of fame. The parking lot and area is accessible. Worth a stop. It is a beautiful area. Would love to attend a concert here!

We hiked a section of Red Rocks Park up to the museum and gift shop. The trail wound through grassy meadows lined with red rock formations. A couple of sections of trail had steps or was steep but it wasn’t bad. We greatly enjoyed the hike and look forward to visiting in the future for a concert!

Subzero temps didn’t hold this family of six back from walking from the bottom of the amphitheater, up to the top and then down into the warm visitor center.

FREE history, exercise and scenic views. A fantastic time had by all

Road trip from NJ to visit ball parks and national parks- of course we HAD to see a concert at the magnificent one of a kind possibly best out door venue for music. AND what better way to showcase the majesty and the rock in the mountains and the rock on the stage but to listen to King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard- just Wowowowowow
Honestly- it could have been any live band- it’s a MUST to be in the audience and listen to a concert- we lucked out with the band.

This place was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. The night that we were there we saw Hozier. The sound was excellent and the view was unforgettable!! It was a lovely evening for a concert especially in November. There was a light breeze and I think in the 60s. Bring something to sit on. We did and were able to enjoy the entire concert!!

We went late afternoon and I mention this because the sun hitting the rocks as the sun started it’s descent was spectacular. Absolutely gorgeous hiking and despite the obvious efforts involved in hiking, there are some super easy trails and stairs to the amphitheater.

We were able to Uber from downtown Denver to Red Rocks for the day on a Friday afternoon. The Uber driver told us that we might have to wait a bit to catch a ride back, but we had no issues and the ride was roughly $25. There are some easier trails to walk and more challenging ones. We spent at least 3 hours walking around without any breaks, so plan on being there a while if you really want to hike the area. There are some concessions for food and drinks but the main restaurant was closed for remodeling when we went.

Absolutely wondrous views. Unfortunately on the day we visited the amphitheater was closed due to a pending concert .we were not able to access the amphitheater. However, the views from outside and around were nothing short of breathtaking. I’m glad we made this short stop for this once in a lifetime view . I would highly encourage anybody to see a concert here I’m sure that the experience would be unforgettable

Bucket List checked. Must see. We went during day time just for a visit and it didn’t disappoint. I left wanting I had stayed longer just to sit and watch the view.
Free parking on a day visit. There was a lot of available parking on this Tuesday morning. Don’t be afraid to find parking a little bit closer by going further up- we weren’t lucky to find a spot in that level but we found a lot of empty spots right below it- still a few steps towards the amphitheater not too bad a distance.I didn’t go for a concert so I don’t know if the parking will have to be for a fee by then.
I’m hoping to comeback to watch a concert and or to just watch some meteor showers.
We went to the Trading Post- which was a short drink down- it’s alright.
