About
The origins of Heredad Segura Viudas should be searched around the XI century, in the middle of the Reconquista. When in 1954 Segura Viudas gathered the evidence of lands that today form the Heredad, we already knew the centennial agricultural tradition that took place and some references of the vestiges that their walls were hiding. Evenly, we were aware of the value a privileged emplacement like that could pass on to the cava and wines. 50 years later we still being loyal to that foundational view: a view guided by the consistency and respect for the land, the landscape and the history that integrates the latest scientific knowledge in an environmental sustainable plan. Just so, we understand we can create the cava and wines in harmony of the Heredad.

Educational for the whole family and fantastic experience. Great history of the art and amazing ambiance. My wife is gluten free and the staff did a great job accommodating her diet. The host and guide spoke multiple languages and was very knowledgeable about the whole process. Highly recommend!!!

We have done many wine and Cava tours around the vineyards and this was by far the best. Our guide Lola was very knowledgable and informative regarding the production of Cava, it was a group of only eight people which made it very personal. We would thoroughly recommend the tour with the wine tasting and food pairing.

We booked a tour of this winery in August for a group of German friends - our tour guide spoke perfect German, was extremely informative about the surrounding area, wine making process and the wine itself. We were shown the grapes, impressive underground wine cellar and the entire factory. After the tour, we were brought inside the villa to have a lovely appetizer of local cheese and meats along with a wine tasting of two cavas.

This wine tour was exceptionally organized and it is well worth the travelling as well as the price of 12.50 per person.

This winery is really low-key compared to the Freixenet and the whathaveyous in the region. You need to rent a car or take a taxi for 15 euros from the Sant Sadurni d'Anoia train station to get there. BUT IT'S SO WORTH IT! For 12.50 euros you'll get a tour around the winery and in the end they treated us and two others couples to a really generous tasting of the products. The guide - Ingrid - was a delightful person! Do take the extra trouble and go there!

We have been enjoying Segura Viudas Cava for many years here in the US. When we decided to visit Barcelona and rent a car, I knew we just had to visit the vineyard. I sent a query and Eva responded immediately that we could book a tour of the facility, but we needed to book a day and a time - which we did. What a wonderful experience this turned out to be. Eva, herself, met us and the four of us had an incredible private tour for almost 2 hours inside and out of Heredad Segura Viudas. Eva is charming, incredibly knowledgeable of the industry and specifically how Segura VIudas creates such great cava. We were fortunate enough to be there as many trucks lined up to leave grapes and we watched the process of how everything is done. At the end of the tour we had a delicious tasting of Cava with jamon and cheese. We were able to purchase a few of their wines to take with us. Although famous for Cava, the still wines are also excellent! Thank you again Eva for making this a memorable experience

This would have to be the best winery tour we did on our recent trip to Spain last month. Cristina took us through the vineyards explaining how they manage in a natural way "reading the signs of from the vines and the soil" all the way through the production process down to the cellars to see some of the oldest wines and cava quietly growing older. There was no time pressure and the whole tour was a relaxing educational experience. We were then seated in the dining area and introduced to our waiter who furnished us with water and tomato bread. My wife is vegetarian and there was no problem providing a matching suitable meat alternative. Five courses and matching cava's later we emerged merry and full to purchase some additional souviners and pay for our experience.
I would not hesitate to recommend spending several hours at segura viudas. Amazing hospitality, excellent cava and great value.
Thank you

We had the opportunity to take a side trip on our way back from Montserrat to visit the winery and vineyards of Segura Viudas...luckier still to be hosted by Cristina Blasi, an 8 year veteran of the company and an expert of the land and the process. After an extensive tour of the vineyard, processing plant, and underground “caves”, we were treated to a tasting of the finished product....from the rose to the grand reserve! Having arrived post-crush we were unable to view that process but were privy to the blending, aging, and bottling. Cristina was amazing and made the visit highly memorable. Cheers!

thanks to a highly engaged lady (Cristina Coral) we got a tour and a good intro into wine making and the details and essentials of Segura Viudas, a higher end producer with an excellent Vintage of 2013 and grand reserva.

thankyou, Mrs Cristina, this was very good and beat all other Cava places we looked at!

We just had short time before closing to get there. It was no problem at all. They took all the time for us to taste all the cava and wine that we would like.Their cava's are really delicious but their wines are hidden treasures. With the old castle the whole atmosphere is relaxing but delivering excellent quality. Their red wine is really a treasure which we then also bought for bringing back home together of course with plenty of cava. We will for sure come back here.
