We reserved several jeeps for our group to experience the beauty of the San Juan Mountains. It was late July and our timing was perfect to see both waterfalls flowing vigorously and wildflowers in abundance. Unfortunately, some construction delays on the Million Dollar Highway got us into Ouray later than planned. Colorado West was very helpful in getting us loaded... More

So it was the end of the jeeping season and we could not find enough jeeps in the city of Ouray. Jeff and the whole staff at Colorado West did an amazing job of not only finding jeeps for us but had them gassed up and delivered to our hotel! They are incredibly easy to work with and were always... More

Did the Imogene Pass trip with Steve. First of all, doing a jeep trip while in the area is a must. The view at the top is fantastic and the trip itself is fun too. Second, it's hard for to fully express how excellent our experience with Colorado West was. I had a lot of questions when I was booking... More

We did a private tour of Black Bear Pass on our first day in Ouray. Hal was our guide and we can't say enough on how GREAT he was. He kept the trip fun, filled us in on some of the history of the area. We came back across Imogene Pass. Both passes are so beautiful! The next couple of... More

This was the most fun I had in a long time but the most unpredictable weather ever. Had all 4 seasons when we started out and got to 12,700 feet when the wind and snow was blowing so hard. We were so cold but the ride and the view was fantastic. Our driver Steve was the best and managed to... More

Took the 3-hr ride up Corkscrew Pass with Steve as our guide. We started out at the bottom with shirtsleeves in an open jeep. Up a ways, we had some mist and clouds, then a little cold rain. Soon that rain turned to a snowy mix. Then we had actual snow. By then were were covering ourselves with blankets, raincoats... More

We went with Don to see Yankee Boy Basin. He moved at the right pace, shared the right level of information and because we were moving quickly, we were able to see an extra sight (Governor Basin). Fun adventure!

Had a 3+ hour jeep tour to Yankee Boy Basin and Governor Basin. Tour guide was Don Fehd and he was a perfect leader for the trip. He was very informative and had a wonderful personality. Didn't yak constantly. The views of backcountry were spectacular. I would highly recommend this tour and ask for Don.
