Rocky Mountain Wildlife Park is a hidden gem in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. I say hidden because it is not well know by travelers. The facility accepts some wildlife, and they care for them. Be sure to go around 4:00 PM for a guided tour at...More

This is very close to town and a great way to spend an hour (bring the kids). The gift shop is almost like a museum. They have snack foods and all sorts of drinks also. A must-see if you're visiting Pagosa Springs.

While I’m clearly no expert, it didn’t look like the animals had a lot of room here, and it wasn’t great seeing the bears just pacing back and forwards – never a good sign. But, it is essentially a refuge and without it these animals...More

They house numerous wild animals that cannot be returned to the wild, such as grizzly bear, mountain lion, bobcat, etc. They feed them at 4pm each day, so we followed the lady around as she fed each animal, explaining how and when they received them,...More
