I thought Siargao is the only surfing spot in Mindanao but I'm so wrong! Dahican beach has huge waves and steep shore perfect for surfing or skim boarding. It has a long wide beach shore and creamy white sand which and perfect for sun bathing. You'll def have sun burn even if you only sun bathe for 10 minutes haha!... More

Entrance Fee: Free! 3 hours away from Davao city Good: Crystal clear waters, good food, hospitable locals, clean beach area, surfing, skim boarding, freediving, Ultra flying, etc! I love this place! It's my second time here already! I'll be back in April 2017!

This beach is not good for your children because the waves are huge and the shore is very steep. The beach is immediately sloping into an abyss. I think this beach is only good for surfers. But the beach is not that crowded, it is just not suitable for children.

Dahican Beach is a part of the local political subdivision of Barangay Dahican in Mati City, Davao Oriental. Mati City is comfortably accessible by land via Davao City--a 2.5hours ride. Dahican Beach is only a 20-minute tricycle ride from the city proper of Mati. It would be faster if you ride a motorcycle or you have your own car. If... More

Clean and nice sand beach, the beach is ok, the color is so nice, no good for the entire family no good for kids the waves are very strong, just stay in the shore. If you have kids need attention. Warning beach. Good for couples or for adults no kids.

Dahican Beach is very beautiful but, sadly, the time we went there the water was very flat and the partner couldn't go surfing. Most of the resorts are rather pricey (not so much if you go there in groups). You can camp out at Amihan sa Dahican for 100pesos per tent but there were a lot of mosquitoes there. The... More

Before traveling out of Philippines this was the last place I have visited with friends. I could say we had a lot of fun. We even tremble inside the huge wave. Was captivated by the rising of the sun and how its hue changes everything over and beyond Its worth traveling and we really wanted to come back there soon.

We rented a car and took the risk of driving for 3hrs just to see for ourselves if what they say about Mati is true.. And it's all worth it! Boracay-like shoreline with clear blue water! Still uncrowded even if we went there on a Sunday. Paid P50 each for the entrance fee but we didn't bother to rent a... More
