I definitely look forward to coming back. It was a lot bigger than I expected. I didn't see anywhere to swim so I can't give it a perfect score but I look forward to renting a boat and fishing.

Amazing reservoir/State Park. Bike trails everywhere. Large camping sites. Good showers . Fishing great. Only negative I would give is lack of trees. It is high desert. Great mountains vistas

Spent a couple of nights here at the Arkansas Point CG. It was very windy much of the time. There are miles & miles of paved trails so we cycled from Arkansas Point down the hill below the dam. On the way we stopped at the Fish Hatchery for a self guided tour. Once down the hill (and it is... More

Lake Pueblo is a huge lake with some 4600 acres. Last year I did about a 9-mile kayaking trip and the weather was perfect and so was the trip. On the weekend of 4/8/17 I tried a shorter trip that would have been about 7 miles and after about three hours and a mile from my destination, the wind picked... More

The north marina is open following recent wind damage to many of the boats. We kayaked from just west of the marina and found the water to be very high with submerged trees. The wind was fairly gusty which made rowing west challenging. It's beautiful on the water but not currently the best place for beginners. FYI, the fee station... More

Lake Pueblo SP is huge and it’s magnificent and it’s got something for everyone, from giant open spaces to marinas. One cannot overstate the topographic element, and you don’t want to get your N and S confused or you “might” drive some extra miles, so do your map work and know what you’re seeking. There are a lot of facilities... More

My husband and I have camped Pueblo State Park for years, over the years the number of visitors especially campers has increased as these waters become better known. Not only for our own state of Colorado but folks from New Mexico, Texas, and Wyoming are discovering this desert jewel. There are NO FULL HOOKUP sites, electricity is supplied at the... More

I grew up near the Lake Pueblo and decided to purchase a home near this landmark. It's just a hop-skip-jump to where I live and I love it. Even if it's for a light stroll or going out to have a picnic. During the summer when it's busy, I like watching the boats coming and going out of the South... More
