Orvis! As our friends told us, there will be some odd ducks - including booby watchers at the hot springs (clothing optional which is definitely the majority). The grounds are pretty with flowers and natural beauty. The different pools were nice - as was the...More

The grounds, pools and sauna were great as usual and the addition of the new cold plunge pool was an added bonus. The only negative was that each time I visit it seems there are more and more people in bathing suits and fewer nude....More

I'm a member of Orvis Hot Springs and absolutely love the springs and sauna. While living in Colona I frequented the springs around three times a week. Well, I moved away but was passing through Ridgeway and figured I'd stop by Orvis to soak for...More

My wife and I celebrated her 50th birthday with a 3-night stay at Orvis. Monday and Tuesday night we were in the Uncompahgre room, which I think is the best of the six choices. Thursday night was the Iron room, which was very nice, but...More

As always a great way to get your skinny dipping fix and hippie watching quota. Service is cheery every time. Campsites are minimal but well maintained. Don't expect a bunch of nude models, just a relaxed bunch of normal folks who happen to be naked.

Visited with two friends and enjoyed all 4 soaking areas as well as the sauna. We went after skiing Telluride for 4 days so the rest and relaxation was welcome. Be sure to hydrate before or while there. Price was very reasonable and there was...More

Best to call and ask. There are lots of steps to get to the main pool and more steps to get in. Also depends on how well he can get around without the chair. Going back up the pond stairs could be challenging. There are... More

My friend and I are considering a visit in mid-May 2017. Can you recommend nearby hotels? Car rental spots? Area attractions? Closest Amtrak stop?

You would need to fly to Denver or Grand Junction to rent a car. No Amtrak up there. hotels depends on your budget. I would of course check TripAdvisor. I stay at Chipita Lodge. You can also try Airbnb.
