The main amenity at the Ridgway State Park is the lake, which is large enough to accomodate samller cabin class boats as well as sailboats and smaller watercraft. The Dutch Charlie campground offers scenic campsites with electric only or no hook-ups, and the campground below...More

Great swim beach but no shade available close to the water. Make sure to bring umbrella, towels and sunscreen. Flotation devices and water toys help with the little ones. Little kids need a swim diaper. The bathrooms are clean and have running water. There is...More

Had an initial mix up in number of tents/people per campsite but was resolved. Rangers were mostly polite and helpful. We stayed in tents, no cars allowed. Carted uphill all gear, could be quite difficult for some due to altitude and hill. One bathroom at...More

We always spend a couple of nights at this park. Very nice camping spots with concrete pads. The restrooms and showers are always clean. The laundry facility is nice but small. We think the Colorado state parks are a bit expensive but Ridgway is worth...More

We all know how crowded National Parks are now. It takes reservations months in advance to get a campsite. Well, it's almost as bad at State Parks now too, so be sure to call ahead. But the Ridgway park is well worth it: it has...More

Ridgway Reservoir has all the boating and camping facilities to make your trip worthwhile. The visitor center has a great view of the area.

Great place to picnic and paddle board with kids and friends! DOW officers could tone down the tickets as we are all there to be safe and have fun. It was almost harassing to get questioned in every little thing! I realize they are doing...More

The staff inside the Visitor's Center were extremely helpful. One was a park ranger and the other was a volunteer. We didn't really go through the Park, as we were on our way to the San Juan Scenic Highway, but my brother did purchase a...More

Cell service is great at the lake and campgrounds. We have Verizon. I don't know about others.
We plan to tow a small trailer behind our Dodge minivan with two motorcycles. Will we have to pay the vehicle fee on all 3? We plan to ride our motorcycles around the area then put back on trailer at end of day. Thanks.
