This mine tour was amazing. You take an actual mine car into the mine car and your guide explains how the mine used to operate. It was very informative. The guide answered all of our questions as he took us on the tour of the...More

We enjoyed our mine tour, we only wish we could have heard the guide better. He spoke pretty quickly and not always loudly enough. But the tour is very interesting and we were told facts about safety, processes and history. Decent value and the kids...More

Of the many adventures we took our grandson on, this was his favorite. It's outside Silverton, about 15 minutes on a gravel road, which really gives you the feel of the landscape of the miner's world. The tour guide came from a family of miners...More

If you are heading to the Silverton area, this is a must-see stop! Located 15-20 minutes outside Silverton, this hidden gem is worth the scenic drive up to it. The last couple of miles on the way up is along a decently maintained dirt-gravel road....More

I've been on a number of mine tours in different parts of the US and the Old Hundred Gold Mine Tour was one of the best tours I've ever been on. The tour starts with boarding a mine train that takes you 1500 feet into...More

This was an enjoyable tour with a knowledgeable tour guide. I have been on a mine tour that was cramped and very confining... not this one. I never felt claustrophobic on this one. Really nice for the kiddos.

Everyone was so nice and helpful. The tour is cold and wet, but worth it. They provide water proof coats. A nice first hand overview of how they mine. My favorite part was the panning for gold, which is included in the price. Be sure...More

This tour is a must for families looking for something original to do while on vacation. You travel deep underground to learn the history and techniques used in the mine starting in the 1800s. The tour guides are knowledgeable and funny! It's great for all...More

I took this tour when I was in Silverton for the day and couldn't have been happier. The tour guide had hands on experience working in the mine so answered all questions very knowledgeably. They provide hard hats and slickers which are definitely handy in...More

We arranged for the mine guide to pick us up a couple blocks from the train station and take us to the mine. You may want to contact them and see if they will do the same for you.

No I would think not. The ride down is very tight close quarters as well as some areas below.

Hi, The Old Hundred Goldmine is located about 5 miles from Silverton. I will suggest a taxi. You can ask at the Visitor Center ind Silverton, if there is any other way to get to the mine. Have a nice trip. D.
